On August 9th 2018, 32 teams started their season with hopes of making the NFL’s equivalent of the Final Four and a shot at Super Bowl 53. Six months later we finally have narrowed it down to those last four teams and most fans couldn’t be happier as the last teams left standing provide intriguing matchups that have something for every football fan.
Firstly, if you like offense, this is the first time in the Super Bowl era that the top four scoring teams during the regular season are the last four standing (1 Chiefs, 2 Saints, 3 Rams, 4 Patriots). On top of that you have the most interesting Quarterback Quartet to ever reach the championship games. The young stud Patrick Mahomes who will probably be the MVP going up against the G.O.A.T., Tom Brady who is playing in his 8th, yes 8th, consecutive AFC Championship Game a feat that will never be matched for the rest of our lifetime. In the NFC just as interesting, is another veteran that just turned 40 this week Drew Brees going up against another rising star in the Rams’ 2nd year quarterback Jared Goff.
